COED Naked Body Positive Yoga

Ever wondered what it might be like to practice yoga without the restriction of clothes? Without the restriction of body judgment and feeling uncomfortable?  
Here's your chance. 
Join Colby for a coed, mixed level (open to all bodies and experience levels) NAKED yoga class.  Class will consist of 60 minutes of a more movement based flow. We’ll take a short break and return with 60 minutes of restorative poses. The perfect combination of building heat and letting go. The cost of this class is $25.

We'll explore mindfulness, meditation and movement.

--> This class is for men and women interested in the practice of yoga without the restriction of clothing. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for comfortable spiritual community. We strive to create an atmosphere of self-acceptance, empowerment, and by fostering mutual respect, body consciousness and peer support. While nudity is an intrinsic part of the experience, this class is not designed nor intended to create a sexual venue or to foster erotic energy.

NOTE FOR WOMEN: Though the class is nude, we are respectful and mindful that panties may be worn if needed for comfort. We strive to create a safe space for all to practice yoga in the nude.  

WHEN: Doors open at 9:10 AM, practice starts promptly at 9:30AM. LATECOMERS WILL NOT BE ADMITTED. WHERE: Shankara Studio, Lambertville, NJ. Please RSVP and directions will be included in the confirmation.

WHAT TO BRING: Yoga mat, towel and water. Feel free to bring anything else that will enhance your practice (blocks, straps, props, journal, etc.). Please let me know if you do not have a mat and I will try to make arrangements to have a mat available. I will try to have water available.

STYLE: Class will be based on Hatha yoga with a Vinyasa flow in the Anusara style of teaching. The class will include conscious breathing (pranayama), meditation, and possibly partner work.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Our classes are diverse, and likely you will meet men and women with the same curiosity, confidence and skill level as yourself. It’s normal to feel nervous the first time, yet we strive to create at sense of safety and comfort in the space for your practice. 

LASTLY: I am certified in Yamuna Body Rolling. It's a technique similar to massage, but focuses on body alignment and joint mobility. It's done on a massage table in the privacy of the studio
